Ironing mats (no board needed)
Portable padded mats for a table or countertop. They are not fitted board covers. Browse ironing mats.
- 21 × 30-inch ironing mat for table – Round Squares Teal: multi-layer padding, heat- and scorch-resistant top layer, rolls up for storage.
- Portable ironing mat – Paisley Blue: thick scorch-resistant cushioned surface, rolls up for storage and travel.
Materials and 4-layer construction
- Most BNDX board covers have 4 layers: 1 fabric top layer plus 3 padding layers. On the cotton-surface models the padding is polyester, foam and polyester.
- Cotton surface models: Blue Brushstrokes has a cotton fabric top. White Dot and Grey Grid Eucalyptus have a 100% cotton top.
- Silicone-coated models (Cinder, Summer Willow 18 × 49) have a reflective, scorch-resistant silicone-coated surface.
- The thick padding is designed to stop the metal mesh of the board from marking clothes.
- Every board cover is sold as cover and padding only. An ironing board is not included.
Scorch and heat resistance
Most BNDX covers and both mats have a heat- and scorch-resistant surface. Check each product page for its specification. The Heavy Duty Cinder cover has a reflective silicone coating designed to speed up ironing. Always follow the iron manufacturer’s heat settings and the care label supplied with the cover.
Fastening systems
- 2-inch elastic edge + 2 quick-lock buckles: the elastic wraps around the board and the buckles pull the cover tight underneath.
- Bungee cord edge + 2 click-to-close buckles: used on the silicone-coated 18 × 49 covers.
- Adjustable drawstring and lock: used on the Five Color Circle and Summer Willow 15 × 54 covers.
How to choose a size and measure your board
- Remove the old cover and measure the bare board surface.
- Length: measure from the pointed tip to the square end.
- Width: measure across the widest part of the board, not the narrow tip.
- About 15″ × 54″ means a 15 × 54 cover. About 18″ × 49″ (including 48 × 18) means an 18 × 49 cover. The two sizes are not interchangeable.

Care
- Cotton-surface covers (White Dot, Grey Grid Eucalyptus): wipe gently with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash.
- All other covers and mats: follow the care label supplied with the product.
